Establishment
Bhai Vir Singh Sahitya Sadan, a premier literary and cultural organization in the capital, was established in 1958, in the memory of the father of modern Punjabi literature and Saint-Poet of India Bhai Vir Singh. While the foundation stone of the building was laid in March, 1972 by President V.V.Giri, the memorial was inaugurated by President N. Sanjiva Reddy, in 1978. read more »
Khalsa Samachar

17th November, 1899, Bhai Sahib brought out the first issue of the weekly Khalsa Samachar, which besides Panthic news, contained valuable information about the tenets of the Sikh faith, elucidation of Gurbani, and imparting teaching of the faith in a big way.
